AMD Catalyst 11.7 - Neuer Grafikkarten-Treiber behebt viele Probleme

Der neue AMD Catalyst 11.7 unterstützt wie üblich alle ATI- und AMD-Grafikkarten seit der ATI Radeon HD 2000-Serie, Chipsätze mit integrierter Radeon HD 3000- oder 4000-Grafik und Notebook-Grafikchips seit der ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400. Im Gegensatz zu den letzten Versionen enthält der neue Catalyst laut den Release-Notes weder neue Funktionen noch Leistungsverbesserungen, sondern konzentriert sich auf das Beheben von Problemen.

Zeitgleich mit dem Catalyst 11.7, der für alle Windows-Versionen seit Windows XP erhältlich ist, hat AMD auch eine Preview-Version des Catalyst 11.8 für Windows 7 64 Bit veröffentlicht. Hier verspricht AMD unter DirectX 11 bis zu 10 Prozent mehr Leistung bei Crysis 2 und bis zu 8 Prozent mehr Leistung bei F.E.A.R. 3. Bei aktiviertem Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA) steigt die Leistung allgemein um 30 Prozent.
