16.1.1. Laut der Beschreibung wurde der Treiber besser für Rise of the Tomb Raider optimiert und bietet mehr Leistung und Qualität. Außerdem steht jetzt auch ein Crossfire-Profile für das neue Abenteuer von Lara Croft zur Verfügung. Das gilt auch für das Rollenspiel Fallout 4 von Bethesda Softworks. AMD nennt auch eine ganze Reihe von Fehlern, die der neue Treiber behebt und die sowohl Spiele als auch die Radeon Software selbst betreffen.

In Star Wars: Battlefront wurden beispielsweise Fehler bei der Darstellung des Himmels behoben, in Battlefield: Hardline eine Absturzursache beim Wechsel der Grafikeinstellungen von Ultra auf Hoch während des Spiels. Der neue Treiber hat aber auch einige bekannte Fehler. So rät AMD Nutzern von Oculus Rift dazu, lieber die Version 16.1 zu verwenden, da es sonst gelegentlich beim Leerlauf des Systems zu Grafikproblemen kommen könnte, die einen Neustart erfordern.

Die Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.1.1 steht direkt bei AMD als recht großer Download bereit. Das Gesamtpaket der Radeon Software ist beispielsweise für Windows 10 in der 64-Bit-Version immerhin 332 MByte groß. Der neue Treiber unterstützt Windows 7 bis Windows 10 und alle Radeon-Modelle mit GCN-Technik.
