Naja, ob das Ding wirklich den Akzent bestimmt würd' ich jetzt nicht behaupten. Es zeigt lediglich, in welcher Gegend Amerikas man am wenigsten hinsichtlicher seltsamer Betonung auffallen würde. Zum Akzent selbst fehlt dann schon noch was, imho.

€: Letztendlich ist fast jede Frage ein minimal pair test. Naja. Mal sehen was rauskommt.

Der Test ist unbrauchbar. Sich nur auf die amerikanischen Akzente zu beschränken lässt doch die viel interessanteren britischen außen vor!

 

Ich hatte jetzt ein Semester sprachpraktische Übung British. Ich hoffe da ist nicht zuviel American dabei.

Ich bezweifel aber, dass US-Amerikaner nicht raushören würden, dass ich Deutscher bin.

Ich würde sagen, dass ich tatsächlich einen amerikanischen Akzent habe, wenn ich langsam spreche. Deswegen dürfte das sogar passen ^^

 

Ich spreche mit Sicherheit kein amerikanisches Englisch.
Davon abgesehen ist der Text etwas doof, wenn man das phonetische "Soll" der entsprechende Worte kennt. Er erscheint mir auch nicht sinnvoll konstruiert, da viele Frage auf dasselbe dialektale feature abzielen.

 

Wie gesagt, ich würde gerne bessere "Tests" machen, die sowas bestimmen. Würde mich halt wirklich interessieren, was für einen Akzent ich so spreche, ohne dass ich es selbst merke. Ich mein, ein Internettest ist da wohl nicht besonders geeignet, aber das beste was man auf die schnelle bekommen kann. Und für eine fixe Antwort auf die Frage reicht es allemal.

Die meisten von uns sollten halt Schulenglisch beherrschen und wenn sich bei einem ein scheinbare dialektale Verschiebung zeigt, würde ich erstmal vermuten, dass er einfach keine Ahnung von den genaueren englischen Ausspracheregeln hat.

Ausnahmen mache ich hier erst bei Amerikanistikstudenten, die wirklich einen längeren Aufenthalt in den Staaten hatten. Wobei gerade die wiederum, die Unterschiede kennen und erkennen sollten.

 

Da wird also aus ein multiple-choice-Test bestimmt, welchen Akzent man spricht? Aha

Seltsam finde ich, dass bisher niemand "Southern" oder "Californian" war...

Ich für meinen Teil war längere Zeit in den Staaten, das war zwar Boston und angrenzendes Kanada, stimmt aber ungefähr mit meinem Testergebnis überein. Die Unterschiede würde ich zwar wohl erkennen, aber niemals zuordnen können; das ist ja genau der Punkt in diesem Test.

Das wäre ja witzlos. Immerhin weiß man ja welchen Dialekt man hat - da wird der tiefste Hamburger sicher nicht mit einem bayrischem Dialekt auftauchen

 

Der Test fragt, ob ich die Unterschiede höre. Die höre ich, wenn ich selber versuche die Wörter zu sprechen.
Ich vermute mal einfach, dass der Test maximal für Amerikaner ansatzweise aussagekräftig ist, weil die US-Amerikaner sich nicht ganz so stark mit der Wahrnehmung ihres eigenen Akzentes beschäftigen, wie es die Menschen in Deutschland mit der deutschen Sprache machen und die Tendenz zu einer normierten Sprache in den Staaten auch nicht so groß ist, wie in Deutschland.

Für die deutsche Jugend wäre vermutlich eine ähnliche Frage, ob sich aus ihrer Sicht "Fisch" und "Ich" reimen.
Aber vermutlich käme ja doch nur die Frage, was denn "reimen" sei...:Ugly:

Sehr komischer test, ich glaube dass die meisten hardcore Akzent sprechen und sofort zu entlarven sind. DEUTSCHEN Akzent wohlgemerkt bzw. irgendwas merkwürdiges.

Ach und in der Schule haben wir British English gelernt, davon fehlen 30% in meiner Statistik. ^^ Ich geb mir auch mühe ein wenig so zu reden, pärsn und wärd statt pöörsn und wöörd.
