Warzone Update 1.22 - Komplette Patch Notes

The Season 5 update brings impactful changes to Warzone alongside the new content for multiplayer.

New Resurgence Map – Fortune’s Keep

A brand new island map named Fortune’s Keep has been added to the Resurgence map rotation. Set in the Mediterranean, this intimate map allows for frantic, close-quarters Resurgence battles.

Fortune’s Keep contains a mix of old architecture and modern luxury, with players fighting across a seaside vista, through ancient ruins, and inside a stately manor. The compact design encourages frequent, lightning-fast engagements.

With the new map, expect the Resurgence playlist to gain variety and replayability for squad-based warfare.

New Modes – Golden Plunder and Jailbreak

Two new limited-time modes have been introduced in Season 5:

Golden Plunder – This variant of traditional Plunder amps up the cash collection, with doubled plunder rates for all cash sources. Golden events like Supply Choppers carrying more cash also spice up the competition. Expect a faster-paced fight for fortune.

Jailbreak – Jailbreak activates a one-time event during the match where all players can redeploy back into the game, even if they were previously eliminated. This leads to a massive influx of operators dropping in simultaneously, creating absolute chaos.

New Vehicles – Armored SUV and Protected SUV

Two new rugged SUVs have been added to the Warzone vehicle roster:

The Armored SUV provides heavy protection against bullets and explosions. It can smash through objects and carries an integrated turret for 360-degree firepower. However, it is slower compared to standard vehicles.

The Protected SUV has bullet-resistant windows for moderate defense. Though not as tanky as the Armored SUV, it is still highly durable. This nimble SUV is great for rapid troop transport or pursuing enemies.

Quality of Life Improvements

Several quality of life changes improve the core Warzone experience:

  • Loadout cost reduced from $15,000 to $10,000 to make loadouts more accessible
  • Players now respawn with their loadout if they were alive when it dropped initially, reducing reliance on buy stations
  • New player preview feature allows you to view locked operators in the menu
  • Visual overhaul including updated lighting, shadows, textures and more
  • Various minor UI tweaks and menu improvements

Gameplay Tuning Adjustments

The Season 5 patch alters various aspects of Warzone’s core gameplay:

  • Lootable in-world cash reduced by 25% across all maps to slow down economy
  • Flying loot items removed from Supply Boxes, requiring interaction and risk
  • Damage profiles updated on the NZ-41, Whitley LMG, H4 Blixen and other weapons to balance the meta
  • Movement and handling stats updated for two dozen weapons
  • Gas circle timings and damage tweaked to improve pace of play
